This series of Darumas is Smoke fired in a pit with organic materials over the course of 2 days. We trekked to the Shuswap in BC to our friend’s garlic farm to fire our second round of pieces and were inspired by the galactic patterns left by the smoke and fire.

The dolls are Buddhist based and are personal goal setting reminders of dedication and perseverance.

The eyes are left blank and you set your dream/wish/goal by circling one eye.

Then place on a shelf or sill where your Daruma can observe your progress and keep you on track.

Once you've achieved what you've set out for, you can then circle the other.

It's a sacred offering to yourself.

They all stand approx. 2.2” high - but may be slightly smaller or taller due to hand forming.
