Our first series of Daruma sculptures were completed over the weeks and months of quarantine 2020. The process of creating these sculptures were set with an intention of peace and acceptance. During these very emotional weeks/months, I found much solace coming back to work on these sculptural Darumas day after day.

This large form was glazed with a uniquely formulated White Lava glaze. If you look closely, the glaze has a layer of tiny oil spots under its textured appearance.

This Daruma measures 15” high, 6” deep at the base, 4.5” deep at the head with an opening at the top for flower or dried flora measuring 2” x 4.25”.
