This series of Darumas is Raku fired with Horsehair and one doll is Smoke fired in a pit with organic materials in the Shuswap, BC.

Daruma dolls are Buddhist based and are personal goal setting reminders of dedication and perseverance.

The eyes are left blank and you set your dream/wish/goal by circling one eye.

Then place on a shelf or sill where your Daruma can observe your progress and keep you on track.

Once you've achieved what you've set out for, you can then circle the other.

It's a sacred offering to yourself.

They all stand approx. 4” high - but may be slightly smaller or taller due to hand forming.
